Cyclist dies after fall

He was taken to hospital in Birmingham

A man has died after falling from his pushbike near Wolverhampton.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Old Hill, Tettenhall shortly before 11.15am today.

A Community Paramedic in a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance crew and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "The cyclist had numerous serious injuries.

"He was treated at the scene and en-route to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham's Major Trauma Centre whose trauma team had been put on alert.


"Sadly, he was confirmed dead after arrival at hospital.”
