Three charged over murder

They're appearing before magistrates today

Three people arrested at the weekend in connection with the death of Richard Sherratt at Bridgnorth have now been charged with murdering him.

Mr Sherratt was found dead in a first-floor flat in Old School Mews, off the High Street, on Thursday.

Three people who were arrested on Saturday were yesterday charged with murdering the 57-year-old at Bridgnorth on 14 June and robbing him.

They are a man aged 50 from Tipton, Sandwell, another man aged 32 from Perry Barr, Birmingham, and a 25-year-old woman from Aston, Birmingham.

The younger of the two men and the woman have also been charged with perverting the course of justice.

They will all appear at Telford Magistrates Court this morning.
