Man found with head injuries

Polide carrying out a murder inquiry in the Wolverhampton area have arrested two men in connection with the incident.

The men, aged 18 and 19, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently in custody helping police with enquiries.

Police launched a murder inquiry after a man was found with injuries in an alleyway in Sedgley this morning.

The 23 year-old local man, was discovered in an alleyway in Springfield Grove, Sedgley at 0320hrs yesterday morning - he had suffered serious head injuries and was taken to hospital, where he died.

He has been named as Shane Watson aged 23 from Sedgley.

Detectives investigating the death have sealed off the area while forensic examinations of the scene take place.

Local officers are currently carrying out house to house enquiries and reassurance patrols.

A post mortem will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death.
