Appeal for witnesses following collision on the Shrewsbury Road in Wem

At around 3pm on Wednesday 10 July 2019 we received a call from a member of the public that there had been a collision on the northbound B5476 Shrewsbury Road in Wem.

A single vehicle, a blue Zafira was involved, which left the carriageway, going through a garden wall and overturning.

The road was closed while officers and paramedics attended the scene.

The driver and three children travelling in the car all suffered head injuries and were taken to North Staffordshire Hospital however their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Anyone with any information or who witnessed the collision, or has dash cam footage is asked to contact West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident number 423s of 10 July 2019, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
