The trailer for the Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 1 Battle Pass has leaked online, offering fans glimpses of the new map and exciting features.
The popular video game has been taken offline and fans left with only an image of a black hole following the conclusion of chapter one, season 10 on Sunday.
The game, which pits up to 100 players against each other to fight to be the last combatant standing on a shrinking virtual map, went offline without any indication of when it would be back up.
Now a new trailer apparently for the next chapter of the Fortnite universe has been uploaded to YouTube, although it is unclear if it is a genuine leak or part of the developers' successful marketing strategy.
The game makers won a lot of attention during the in-game apocalyptic end to season 10 when ongoing matches were interrupted by an asteroid shower which destroyed the virtual map players fought on.
The cataclysmic event then saw the map collapse into a black hole.
According to the trailer, the next season of Fortnite appears to be getting an entirely new map with different locations for players.
These locations include a river and a fishing pond which players will be able to drive a boat through and even go fishing in, with new ways to level up for players including fishing.
The trailer also shows a player bouncing around on pogo sticks as well as carrying seemingly wounded comrades.
Other players win battle medal upgrades for taking out an opponent with a headshot, a scavenger medal upgrade for opening a treasure box, and a survivor medal upgrade for apparently chopping down a tree.
Fans of the game who were left puzzled by when it would be back online - and what the mysterious black hole actually means - are speculating that the leak suggests it could be back soon.
