What are Disney doing?

I love Disney! I don't think there are many people in the entire world that would dislike the franchise. The company is almost 100 years old and they produced their first feature film in 1937 which was Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs. But it has to be said that the live action remakes aren't all quite as magical for some people.

I've just seen the announcement for two new original films that spin off from classic fairy tales... are Disney running out of brand new ideas?

Cruella - A movie following the young Cruella De Vil from 101 Dalmations due for release Christmas 2020. Confirmed to play the young villainess is La La Land star Emma Stone.

Genies - If you've ever wondered how Robin Williams or Will Smith originally become trapped inside the magical lamp from the Cave Of Wonders, there is a film coming out to explain it all. But my question is, do we really need to know?

What do you think? Should we leave classics alone or is it ok to explore and expand on a Disney world that has been growing for almost 100 years?
