ITV's daytime hit is going six days a week from January 20 - pitting it against Channel 4's Sunday Brunch
This Morning will be adding a weekend edition later this month - pitting it against Channel 4's Sunday Brunch, hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby have revealed.
The presenters explained that the show will be airing six days a week, with Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford at the helm of the Sunday show, from January 20.
Phillip explained: "We have an exciting announcement to make for Sunday mornings, with a weekend episode of This Morning.
"Eamonn and Ruth will be taking you through the highlights of This Morning from that week with some exclusive guests and lots of weekend treats thrown in for good measure.”
Holly added: “It’s official, we’ll be going on the telly six days a week. Lazy Sunday mornings couldn’t get any better.”
However, fans were quick to point out that it really would be lazy for her - as she won't be hosting it.
Eamonn added in a statement: “We’ll be there on Sundays to put the cherry on top of your best This Morning bits of the week.
"Not only will anything you’ve missed be featured, Ruth and I will also be adding our own fresh content that you won’t have seen.”
Ruth added: “Stay in your pyjamas, put your feet up and enjoy a Sunday on This Morning with us!”
This Morning boss Martin Frizell promised the show would be "an unmissable package of the week’s most talked about moments".
